Enhanced Parent Portal and course request screen

Has anyone ran into the same issue as us with the Enhanced Parent Portal screens and course requests? Somehow, the enhancement altering the course request screen and we had to disable the customization for that screen to work again.

I am looking for a way to make course requests work with customizations turned ON. The only way to make them work is to turn OFF customizations.
