Course Recommendations

Has anybody been successful in mass uploading course recommendations? We currently upload our incoming 9th graders course recommendations as requests because there is no other that we have found to do this.
This makes it cumbersome on registration day when the student has a change in course - the counselors cannot remove the course request on the Request Management page. It locks them out. They have to go into scheduler to drop the course.
Everything I read on PowerSource on "recommendations" ends up being directions for "requests".
Any help would be appreciated - even if its a "nope, not possible" - then I can stop looking.

I have a huge excel with teacher recommendations that needs to be entered. PS does not allow these to be uploaded.
