Hi Rob, we noticed in a few schools that when parents log in and look at the report card it's fine but when they try to print it only shows a blank sheet. Any thoughts? I've installed 3.0 and it displays great but can't get anything when we try to print.
Thanks

Jack,

This printing issue has been corrected ams the update plugin will be published today.

Hi Rob, I just found the update and tried and it works great.
Thanks again.
You're fast!

The PSCB - Custom Public Portal is not showing the grades on our student report cards. We upgraded from V2.9 to V3.1 but the reports cards still look the same. Is there a step we are missing? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Be sure to select Display daily attendance YTD Attendance and insert the appropriate attendance term. That should display the grades on the parent portal side.

Our school uses Meeting Attendance. Turning on the Daily Att & YTD Daily Att does make the grades appear, but the Daily Att box is blank.
We'd like to not show attendance at all in the next release if possible. I do have a screenshot if you'd like to see it.

East Hartford Public Schools

This issue will be corrected in the next release of the plugin.

A bit of a weird error we encountered with one of our districts this morning.

The grades along with the gpa were missing from the Grades/Attendance page. - We turned customizations off and refreshed the student's public portal and everything appeared as expected.

Has anyone encountered this error yet? We are using latest base resources and latest version of this plugin.

Can you add the ability to change the order of the columns for the Store Codes? For example, use the order configured on this page: PSCB Custom Report Settings - Reporting Terms.

Thank you!

The sort order of the store codes on the Historical Grades page is set using a Powerschool X code.
PS X codes are not accessible to be modified.

Not sure why Powerschool has chosen to use different sorting methods for the Quick Lookup and Historical Grades pages.

I am having issues loading this customization. I read back where it was recommended to delete this error "web_root/guardian/myschedule.html", once I deleted it out of CPM and tried reinstalling. I am still getting kick back. I cannot determine the source of these, and if they were all from a previous version, is it going to cause harm to delete all of this?

Guardian:
myschedulematrix.html
myschedulematrix_not_available.html
myschedule_not_available.html

Iconmyschedule.png

1. Use CPM to delete the these files:
myschedulematrix.html
myschedulematrix_not_available.html
myschedule_not_available.html

2. Delete the current plugin.

3. Install the latest plugin update.

Hi,
I was going to update this plugin but we ran into an error that says Plugin file contains a file that already exists: web_root/guardian/schoolinformation.html.

I actually have noticed this already and was super confused why on CPM there were two schoolinfomation.html pages.

I tried deleting one, which did not work. They somehow work together (again not really sure how this is possible)

Have you seen anything like this? Not sure what to do here. Thanks!

1. Use CPM to delete both School Information pages.
2. Delete the current plugin.
3. Install the latest plugin update.

Great thanks! I was able to re-upload. BUT that second schoolinformation.html is still there. It will not let me delete it. Is it supposed to be there? It is preventing other Public Portal plug ins from loading correctly.

Hi,

I have noticed that our courses are appearing multiple times on the public portal report card. They are not doing this on the admin side report card.

If you want to review this issue via a Zoom conference, please send your contact info to pscb.development@gmail.com. Upon receipt, I will send you available dates to conference.

Our school has never used the Parent Portal because we are not a grades driven school. Looking at this plugin, it looks like we can disable everything that has to do with grades. Is that accurate?
One more question -- can it pull contacts information for parents to see?

Just installed the Custom Public Portal and we can not get the Home Room, teacher name, or standards to display on the report card.

The Custom Public report card is traditional grades based report, it does work with standards based grading.

Is there a way to change a field such as "Next year Schedule" in mass for all schools to "Hide" while we work on next years schedules without having to go into each school?

**Found it!! I needed to upgrade to 3.3 and found the settings for all schools.

The PSCB - Custom Public Portal v3.3 plugin now includes a District - All Schools CCP Settings page.

Install and enable the updated plugin.
At the District level navigate to:
Start Page > District Setup > Custom Preferences (PSCB) > Parent Portal Settings

I added in a few custom pages and they show up in the portal but the images do not show in the left menu. Any idea what I might be missing?

This would indicate that you have previously customized guardian/home.html page.

Using CPM, navigate to the guardian folder and remove the customized home.html file.

Thank you so much! That did the trick.

Using the PSCB Public Portal Settings page you can enable/disable any of the listed pages including grading.

For security reasons, the PSCB Custom Public Portal plugin does include a student contacts page.

Thank you for answering, Rob!

For clarification, did you mean that the PSCB Custom Public Portal DOES NOT include a student contacts page for security reasons?

Good morning. I saw where another user had this issue but did not see a resolution. Our report card is working except that each class is repeated. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi, does anyone know how to disable the link on the navigation pane when you are in a student view in the Admin portal?

We use different report cards so it is confusing for Admin Users.

We have the report cards disabled in the CPP settings but the link is still on the nav pane.

Thank you,
Julie

Navigate to the Plugin Management Dashboard.
Disable the PSCB - Customization (Std Report Card) plugin.

We are noticing that on the online RC the semester 1 classes are showing twice (in duplicate). Our semester 1 classes have Q1, Q2, L1 (local exam) and Y1 grades stored. We store potential credit on all grade terms and only award earned and potential on the Y1 grade. When the Y1 grade has earned and potential the classes double up. If all classes only have potential credit or all have earned and potential credit, they do not double up. Any ideas as to what we can do to correct the doubled up classes?

I need more information to investigate the issue you have encountered.

I have an odd situation with just a few courses/sections. For example, I can sign into the parent portal, select a student, click Class Assignments and then select a marking period, it will show me a list of all assignments for all sections in which the student is enrolled. In this example the student is enrolled in "Introduction to Computer Programming", along with several other courses. I can see his Introduction to Computer Programming assignments so long as the list is not filtered by Course. If I filter it by Course and select Introduction to Computer Programming, it returns a list of assignments for some of the student's other courses, but NOT any of the Introduction to Computer Programming assignments.

This only happens if filtering by course. If I filter by teacher, it's fine. And again, it's only for a couple courses and sections. I've spent some time comparing course and section setup with others that are working correctly, but can't find any discrepancies. Anyone have any idea what else I might do to resolve this?

My district is new to the PSCB customizations and loving them all. However, we are having an issue using the Custom Public Portal customizations because it seems that Class Registration option is turned off. I see that Next Year Schedule is an option, as well as the Course Recommendation, but not Class Registration. Can you help me to understand if I am reading this customization correctly. We would like our students to use the Student portal to sign up for classes, but I really hate having to turn off the CPP for a week, and then go back and reset it up at the end. Thanks for any insight you might provide. Anne

I have set Student Schedule Requests to 'Edit', however, there is no change on the students' pages that directs them to the PowerSchool Student and Parent Portal Student Registration Screen where they enter their course requests for next year. Can you tell me if I missed a step or if this functionality is not available in the CPP? Thank you for your help with this. We've been enjoying the PSCB customizations and reports for years!

Is there a plugin for parents to submit student absences? And have a method of approving by office staff? Thank you.

Marcia Brenner Associates has recently published an Attendance Monitor Plugin for PowerSchool.

The plugin will provide you with streamline attendance related processes with powerful features for you and parents/guardians.

We have an odd display issue with the custom online RC. When you go to the report card page in the portal the counselor will initially show as None and then if you click the report card icon again to reload the page, the counselor name shows. It hasn't made a difference clearing the browser cache. It seems like if someone initially uses the incorrect counselor field and then updates the setting to use the correct field, this issue of showing None happens. Any ideas on why this might be happening and how we can fix it?

This sounds like temporary communications issue when the report connects to the PowerSchool server to retrieve the counselor name. If no name is found the report will display None.

Clicking the Report Card a second time seems to re-establish the connection and the counselor name is displayed correctly.

This is not a report issue and I'm not sure if there is a solution to what you are encountering.

I noticed that our parents cannot click the button to add an additional students to their account. When they click the "add" button nothing happens. I temporarily disabled the custom portal and by disabling the custom portal, the add button works correctly. Any thoughts?

Version installed for custom public portal is 3.4 and base resource 3.0.

I have not been able to duplicate this issue on any of are production or test servers.

Even though we have the Balance Icon enabled, it is no longer showing in the parent portal for any of my schools. I updated to SIS 21.11.4 in April and I believe it was working prior to that. I've tried disabling and re-enabling and no luck. Any known issues with v3.4 and SIS 21.11.4?

I rolled back to v3.1 and it's still not working. Any other suggestions?

I need more information to investigate this issue.
