PSCB - Customization (Student Log Entry Summary)

Description

This customization adds an Administration: Log Entry Summary link to the student navigation menu.

The page is an extension of the Enhanced Log Entries Screen v4.1 plugin previously published by Jason Springel. PSCB thanks Jason for his permission to publish this supplementary version.

The Log Entry Summary page includes the following:

▪ Report Filter options for Date Range and Log Type.
▪ Standard PSCB formatting - Record Count * HTML 5 Buttons (Copy Data, Export CSV File, Export PDF File) * Column Filters and Sorting.
▪ The page honors all group permissions set for Log Types.
▪ The page can be mass printed for a selected group of students. (Requires AET Mass Print Student Screen plugin)

Additional Plugin Requirement

The following PSCB plugins should be installed prior to the installation of this customization.

PSCB - Base Resources Version 2.2

Installation

Install in System > System Settings > Plugin Management Configuration

Do not unzip the plugin. Install the entire zip file. Be sure to enable the plugin once it's installed.

If you are updating, you can now click on the Plugin name and then use the Update button, and then browse to the new file and click Submit and it will then load the update and request you to enable the plugin.

Instructions

Select a school and go to the Powerschool start page.
Select a student.
Click on the Administration: Log Entry Summary link on the student navigation menu.

There is a log entry description on the Log Entries Summary (Non Discipline) report, but not on the Discipline Log Entries Summary report

When I go to update this plug in it says that the plug in name or publisher does not match with the current info. Can we edit the name or publisher so it successfully updates? Thank you!

Is there a way I can add the student name and ID number when choosing "Export PDF File"? Right now, we get a report that has just the log information, but does not say which student we printed it for. Thanks!

In the Discipline Log Entries Summary report is there a way to add to the selector under the 'Action Taken' drop-down a 'No Action Taken'? I've got an admin who is trying to generate a list of log entries that need follow-up.

These columns are blank when I run the summary of discipline log entries: SE, 504 and Action. I did install the Base Resources 3.0. Am I missing anything else?

These columns use custom field names for Special Education, 504 and Action Taken. The field names will vary from state to state. If you want to populate this columns, you will need to use CPM to change the names to the ones you are currently using.

From the Start Page navigate to:

Start Page > System Administrator > System Settings > Plugin Management Dashboard

Check to see if the Log Entry Management v1.9.3 plugin has been installed.

If installed, disable the plugin and see if the issue still exists.

Has anyone gotten stuck on the loading screen when using the AET Mass Print to print this report? It loads fine until I change the date range on the report, and then it doesn't load (stuck on the "loading" box). However I have no problem changing the date on the individual student profiles for this report...it's just when using mass print.

This report uses a default date range of (student birth date to last date of the current year). The Mass Print option uses that date range when rendering the report.

Adam Larson's AET Mass Print plugin does not support the changing of the date range for any student page once the initial submit and report has been rendered.

When running the Log Entries report, the 504 field is blank for all our students. I've checked and this field is set to "Y(1)" for some of our students on the State/Province - IN page. What field in PowerSchool does the report pull from?

If the student has no log entries, there are no log entry records created.
As a result, you can not search the table to find students with no records.
