PSCB - Customization (Quick Lookup Tabs - Assignments/Stats)

Description

This customization adds two tabs to the Quick Lookup screen.

The Student Assignments page includes the following.

• A list of assignments, scores and codes for all classes using the current term display preference.

• A filter option to select and view assignments for a previous grade reporting term.

The Student Stats page is an update to the Student Stats V 3.1 plugin previously published by Brian Andle and includes the following sections.

• Grades and Attendance Summary.

• A Daily Attendance Summary listing Days Absent, Days Tardy, Days Present, Days Membership and Days Enrolled.

• A Class Grades Comparison using the current term display preference.
The data table displays the student's average, the class average, course average, student/section difference and student/course difference for all currently enrolled classes. The data table will only show classes that are set to be stored.

• A listing of the Last gradebook update for each of the student's classes.

Comments

This plug-in has solved a big problem for us. Is there a way to set the default Term or can the plug-in be modified to default to the current term? For example our screen is defaulting to Q4. I can't find any documentation except the 2 screen shots on the page.

The customization defaults to the Active Term set on the Current Grade Display page for each school.

To set the Active Term navigate from the Start Page to:

School: Setup / Grading: Current Grade Display

Hi - Is there a way for this to show on the PowerTeacher side? (or am I just missing something). Works great on the admin side. Thank you.

Sorry - I found it, it's under "Student Stats" on teacher side...Thanks!

I already have the PSCB reports bundle and many of the reports but would like to install the Quick Lookup Tabs. I tried to install the plugin and found that the extra tabs were not visible. That's when I read that it should be installed before the reports bundle. If I disable all the PSCB reports and the Home Page and Base Resources will that allow the Quick Lookup Tabs features to be visible or will I need to uninstall all those plugins first?

I answered my own question. I deleted the Base Resources, installed Quick Lookup and then re-installed Base Resources. I now have the tabs.

The PSCB contains some awesome reports. I like having the link under Reports on the left. Thanks a ton to all the contributors!.

Does anyone know of a report/custom page that will pull the quick lookup screen with classes and grades from both school enrollments? School do not want to switch tabs and print two separate pages.

Hi, I am reviewing students' data on the Student Assignment Tab and the category column is blank. All categories are set at the district office and are required for grading. Is there a way for me to figure out why it is not pulling here? Thanks!

Which grade book are you teachers using?

PowerTeacher gradebook or PT Pro gradebook.

I am having the same issue. It would be very helpful to see the category being used.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Categories will be included in the next release of the plugin.

It would be a great addition if there was an additional tab that included basic student profile information such as the following. I Don't understand why such a screen is not default in PS?

ID
SSID (State ID)
Student Phone
Student E-mail
Locker Info
DOB
Age
Gender
Grade
Graduation Year
Home Language
Ethnicity
Race

Contacts (ALL)

Schedule (Current)

Enrollment History (Transfer Info)

Schedule (Current Term)

Thank you!

I have this plugin installed but cannot see the attendance piece. Odd?

Do any of your schools have a have a 2019-2020 July start date?

No, but I did just install the update. Unfortunately, I had not noticed if attendance was there previously. I am catching things now because I am documenting all the plugins we have installed, where they live (if applicable) and what they do.

Hence, the misspelled (which I have noticed that I misspelled-doh!!) postings :)

After installing this login, I am missing the attendance and grade comparison charts. We are still using PowerTeacher gradebook and our attendance mode is Meeting - Period to Day. Could this by way these charts do not display?

Thanks

The next release of the PSCB - Customization (Quick Lookup Tabs - Assignments/Stats) plugin is currently under development and is scheduled for release in late November.

In this update the attendance and grade comparison charts are being replaced by data tables and will include:

Attendance
- Expanded daily attendance stats and information.

Grade Comparison (Each enrolled section)
- Student Average
- Class Average
- Course Average
- Student / Class Difference
- Student / Course Difference

PSCB reports are not compatible with the older PowerTeacher Gradebook.

The PT Pro Gradebook is required for all grading reports.

It seems the Absent and Present categories are reversed when I installed this plugin.

We cannot see anything on the student assignments page since updating to V 1.8
Does anyone know how I could fix this or is there a place that I can download the last version of the plugin?

Navigate to: Start Page > School Setup > Current Grade Display
Confirm that you have entered the Active Term.

The Class Assignments Tab defaults to the Active Term set in this location.

If the Active Term was blank you will not see any assignments until you select a term from the dropdown menu.

If the Active Term was entered and no assignments appear, that indicates that no assignments have yet been entered for that term.

Thanks Rob. Our active term is set and there are definitely assignments in for Q2. I am not sure why nothing is showing. It is an issue for all schools. Do you happen to have the old install that I could roll back to the last version?
Thanks
Carrie Drew

Since this issue has not been reported by any of our 30+ testing districts using V1.8, it would be beneficial to the PSCB Development to explore this issue with you via a conference call.

If interested, please contact me via email: pscb.development@gmail.com.

Thanks.
