Automatically Changing Attendance code to Suspended
When a student is entered as suspended in log entry or in incident management, attendance codes should be automatically adjusted.
Teams & Groups Management
Teams and Groups management would be great. Managing sports teams, clubs and groups activities would be so much easier. Tasks such as taking attendance, choosing a team that will be leaving for an out of area game or a group going on a field trip, would be a real time saver.
re: Teams & groups Management
Good idea. I had thought of athletics, but making it more generic might allow for things like clubs. We'll look into it.

Locker Management
We would really like a locker management customization.

Locker Management
Our sites miss having the locker management table that we had in SASI.
Another function that all our users miss tremendously is the querying ability they had in SASI. Which allowed users to query up to four tables at one time. This ability gave site users a lot of independence to fulfill Principal, Superintendent, etc... requests. IE. Site users could quickly and easily find out students' 2nd period class along with the teacher's name or easily find out the students in a teacher's class for 2nd period.

re: Locker Management
I agree with Jason in that the sqlReports customization is very useful and if your users aren't familiar with sql and you are you can build reports for them or embed sql into web pages for them to view. Here's a page similar to the find-me alert that Jason mentioned but it quickly lists all the students and their schedules for either the current time or a time the admin puts in. I went ahead and added the ability to sort it by teacher and course. But it's a good example of how one page can meet the needs of all your admins and they're not having to take the time to build the queries themselves.

re: Locker Management
We hear you on the locker management and I sent you a email off list.
re: querying
You might want to consider the SQL Report customization on this site. It was created by Dean Dahlvang so you know it's good. Its currently set up to only allow members of group 9 edit but that could be changed if you needed it to.
Also, we used to use Excel to have clerical build reports. If they can connect tables together then they can use excel. BUT there is no security ensuring that the user doesn't grab data that they are not allowed to see.
In my experience most staff don't have enough skill to do all of that themselves. This is why I have a lot of hope for the new reporting tool. It makes it a lot simpler to put information together between several tables. I think you can already build the example you gave (student's 2nd period class) with the version that is out now.
Additionally, check out the Find Me alert from this site. It puts an alert on every page telling you where the student is right at this moment (assuming they are where they are scheduled) and gives you any attendance for that period too.
I also have a report that I'm not sure I put on pds but it allows you to look up one student or all students and what they have during a certain period and day or all periods on a certain day or all periods all days. All students all periods all days would not be recommended.

Teacher logs
An interesting new request from one of my staff....A teacher log, so that they may log when and what they discuss when contacting a parent.
re: Teacher logs
I had that same request. Made it part of my custom discipline system. No one has ever used it.

Student last_name field
One of our students has a last name with 32 character (we always check student's birth certificate for accuracy). I spoke to PS and they told me the limit is 30 and that they would submit it as a featured request. I'm concerned with reports that are distributed (especially colleges) that our imformation is not completely accurate. Anyone else with this issue?

Gradebook: Delete multiple assignments at once
We had a teacher copy 30+ assignments inadvertently. I could not find a way to delete them all at once, and this would be a good enhancement. Thanks

Unfortunately we can't edit the gradebook so we won't be able to make any customization like this. Thanks for the suggestion, I know there are company people who look at the list as well.

Poll
I want teacher attendance, full e-mail capabilities to send an e-mail directly to a group of people, textbook mangaement, mutiple parent management, and parent/teacher conference scheduling. My list could go on and on... :)
Missing: Community Service
We want to track community service hours in PowerSchool. (dates, hours, and other descriptors that could be tracked over years and a status visible on the quick lookup/parent login)
We create an extra class now for each grade level and mass-enroll students into them. The class has a single assignment with their current total of hours. (Hours only, no comments) A clerk changes the number of hours as additional hours are submitted. If their total is over the required number, the grade changes to indicate they have met the requirement. (Grade scale with two items only.)
Any other creative ideas?
I like your idea but we need
I like your idea but we need more information than that. We need a function within PowerSchool similar to what we had in SASI. Each student is required to serve 80 hours during their 4 years of High School. Most students exceed that mark tremendously.
Fields that we need are: Agency ID & name, hours worked per entry, beginning & ending dates, contact name & phone number, and comments per entry. Then we also need fields that calculate the required hours earned (up of 80), required hours still needed to reach 80, and the total cumulative hours earned. We would need to print individual student reports as well as cumulative reports by date, grade and total hours.

Would like to see click-able attendance via a seating chart (pictures). But I'm also really happy to see that custom page management is now available for asp users!
Entry Exit for Enrollments
I have an excessive number of problems with enrollments in terms of people putting in exit dates that occur before entry dates. I try to keep on top of the problem but seem to get one or two missed here and there. It would be great to have a report or screen of some type that allows for counselors, secretaries, or other administration to quickly get a list of all messed up enrollments at their particular school.
I can export a list using ODBC but I have not given the ability to anyone else purely because there are too many things that they are not allowed to see due to FERPA regulations.
It may already exist or someone may already have an elegant solution, but I just have not come across it yet.

I would love to see the all enrollments screen list just the current year, with an option to include all years.

A couple more
The ability to quickly adjust years and terms to account for snow days and other events.
Definitely multiple parent management
Single sign-in for multiple children in parent portal
ability to use the transportation information (although there is a nice custom page on this site that does that)
Ability to assign staff to multiple schools

Regarding your first comment, have you looked at the Copy calendar customization. I tweaked something from ALS to provide a means to adjust the calendar specifically with the intent to resolve snow days. Look under the Misc Files section. It was posted Sept. 08.

multiple parent managment option
I posted a custom page on sisresources to fill a little bit of the void of multiple parent management. It only works on 5.2 or 6, but what it lets a parent do is when they're logged in under one account they can see the grades for related students. If they want to see more details for the grades they would have to login for that student, but if all they're interested in seeing is the current grade then it does that for them. It's something that others should be able to take and build on as well - add attendance, stored grades, etc. If anyone is interested, the page and screenshots are at http://www.sisresources.com/index.php?/Guardian/grades-overview-for-rela...

The poll is more about things we could (or perhaps already have) made. Multiple parent management is something that would take us playing with things we are not allowed to play with so we'll leave that to Pearson.
