We've been getting a lot of questions about many of the reports found here and why they don't work. Almost every question has the same answer so I thought I'd post it on the main page.
Many pages you will get from powerdatasolutions.org take advantage of sql. In version 5.2.0.9 PowerSchool started blocking certain sql commands, but blocked too much. This has caused many people to get non-select tlist_sql errors. PowerSchool now comes with this security feature on and you have to turn it off in order for many of the more complicated queries to run. It was such a problem that the back door that Pearson had put into the system was revealed that very same day. There are 2 ways to fix the issue:
1. Log into PowerSource and find article #55553. Follow the directions and your reports will work fine now.
2. Use the customization from powerdatasolutions.org that turns the entire process into something as simple as checking a checkbox on a district page. That customization is located at here
Once you complete this task 1 time you shouldn't ever have to do it again.
It has occurred to us that there are a lot of new schools out there who were not around when this "feature" first appeared and didn't know the solution. It's also becoming harder for people to realize that they are getting this error since some of the new techniques we are utilizing tend to be more flexible for us but hide that error for you. Hopefully knowing this is a potential cause of your problem will help you diagnose it early.

Report bundle 1.0.6
I loaded the report bundle 1.0.6 tonight and have 3 questions which I hope someone can help me with.
1) I am getting a Non-select tlist_sql filtered out error on some of the reports (example, consecutive absence report and daily attendance by date, code, school). What do I need to do to correct this error? My version of PowerSchool is 6.0.0
2) When I click on the custom sqlreports tab, I have no create or import button. What do I need to do to get these buttons so that I can add sqlreports?
3)In addition to having a custom sqlreports tab, should I also have a sqpreports tab? If so, how do I get it. I copied the sqlreports folder to the data/custom/web_root/admin folder.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Seating chart for taking attendance Issue
We have installed the Seating chart for teachers to take attendance, but have found that when the office enters attendance codes, they do not appear on the seating charts for the teachers to see.
The teacher can enter an attendance code for a student who has already been marked absent by the office. Fortunately, the admin side attendance is not being overwritten.
Is this a known issue or did we miss something in the setup?
