Hi all
So far we have people from TEN states signed up for the SysAdmin Conference & Information Exchange. We would love to see more users from other states as well attending and sharing with us at this event. If you are a PowerSchool System Administrator that wants to be able to do more, this is a great way to expand your skill set & network with other sysadmins from around the country!!

Seating is truly limited so be sure to get signed up ASAP!!
4 National PSUG contributors will be presenting, including:
Brian Andle, Matt Freund & Jason Treadwell
We will also have help from our friends at Pearson School Systems & Level Data!
Below are some of the proposed sessions. We will update you with other sessions soon.
Dashboards Made Easy:
Ever wanted to make a Dashboard that actually contained useful information for your District? PowerSchool provided an excellent example of what a Dashboard can be. The PS version however is a multi-step process just to add a single Portlet. In this session we will use a custom Dashboard System that I created. It allows for the direct Portlet creation right from within PS Admin. We will create simple SQL Portlets entered via PS Admin and we will look at making external Portlets that can be used for more advanced SQL queries.
PSM Tables, getting info out :
Ever wanted to know how to get information out of PowerTeacher Gradebook using ODBC? This session will explore the Gradebook PSM tables also known as the Milan Tables. In PowerSchool 6.0 Pearson enabled ODBC view access to the Gradebook PSM tables, we will look into the linking of the PSM tables which are much more complicated then Legacy Tables.
Cool PS web page codes
Ever wanted to know some of the cool codes that the Advanced PowerSchool Users know? We will look into some the top codes that can help get you around certain issues you may run into when creating custom web pages.
sqlReports Customization
sqlReports is a custom built reporting tool completely within PowerSchool that allows you to build and save sql queries for ad-hoc reports. This session will walk through the complete process from installation to building a library of reports. sqlReports is like the List Students function on steroids. Great option for ASP customers.
Eight other advanced sessions PLUS "Stump The Chump" will be offered. We will showcase some of the other sessions in an upcoming posting!
Hope to see you soon!

Jason, Brian & Matt ROCK!!!!!
Thanks to Jason, Brian & Matt for coming to Michigan! We are on day 2 and these 3 guys are incredible! Their sessions are great and everyone seems to be having a great time learning and sharing. I can't thank them enough for putting on a great conference for us!
Attendance Count Report that includes students' ages
I need an Attendance Count Report that includes the students' ages and phone numbers. Does anyone know if there is such a report available? Our high school principal needs to track the number of unexcused absences for students who are ages 16 or less.
Sorry, I posted this in the wrong place and can't seem to delete it.
Still a few seats left!!!
I know it is short notice but we still have a few seats left for the upcoming SysAdmin Conference. Visit our Wiki for more details. http://pshs-mi2009.wikispaces.com/SysAdmin+Workshop
To answer the other questions, this conference will not be streamed to other locations. Our PSUG is looking at doing some video conferencing or streaming on various topics in the future. PSUG-MI on yahoo groups will have the info when we do begin doing some of those.
As far as the acronym, I never really thought about it...
We hope to make this an annual event so if you can't make it this year, we will hope to see you next year.
Acronym
Is the acronym for this conference SACIE?

10 States Attending this conference so far!!!
We have PS admins from 10 states so far that will be in attendance at our upcoming event. This is going to be a great experience for all that attend!
We have busy days AND busy nights planned for those that are staying at the hotel. Visit out Wiki for all the details. We have a reception, Stump The Chump and two excursions to Detroit planned. This will be a blast!
If we wind up with anyone from MO, I do apologize in advance if you go with us to watch the Red Wings beat up on the St Louis Blues Wed night after the conference!! :)
We hope to see you there and please email me if you have any questions.

I would love to attend but cannot leave the district. The district would be willing to pay the fee but not the travel is it possible to stream this to other districts or record this.
