Seating Charts for Premier. Based on Flash. In use at Valley and working well. Not gradebook dependent, can be used by any PowerTeacher user. Thanks to FusionCharts.com for the flash object and their support of the PowerSchool user community. This is an advanced customization and relies on your ability to manipulate the PhotoFlag field in PowerSchool. Please read the documentation. Version 1.1.0 adds a "shuffle" option. Version 1.2.0 adds ability to view in PowerSub.

Mac or Win

I downloaded this file. When I unzipped it, it appears to be for Macs only. Is there a Windows version?

Are you using Windows built-in program to unzip the file? If so, that'll happen with a lot of files on here (and the PS support site) because they were zipped up by Mac users. I had to download and install another program - I went with something free called 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/). It's fast and with it you'll see the Windows files. You'll also see some Mac specific files in the folder which are the ones that cause the unzip to fail otherwise.

Verify code?

Submitted by tbrock on Tue, 08/26/2008 - 9:25am

Hi - Many thanks for the seating charts. They look great. We will be anxious to see the hinted attendance features since we got used to them in SASI.
Question - when we updated the seating charts, we also have the Verify icon now. Is this something that I can just delete from the code and upload? What is this used for?
Thanks again.

If you look in the instructions, it notes that the home page included is aligned with the grade verification package also included on this website.

There are instructions there on how to work in the seating chart link into your home page without including the verification icon.

The teacher home page is a big intersection for many different customizations, so it's always tricky to include a copy in a customization, and we figured since the grade verification was also a pretty popular one, we'd make sure we included that icon as well.

seating charts

So I was stoked to start using the seating charts for this coming school year... but had to upgrade to 5.2 so that Missouri's state reports would continue to receive updates (MO has state reporting issues)... Anyway, just noticed today, a few days before school starts, that Seating Charts is broken now with 5.2.

Just wondering if/when there's a chance of it working with 5.2?

Thanks for updating this... just pushed it out to our teachers again, I'm sure they'll be stoked. I use this site for a lot of our PowerSchool enhancements.
