Reports Card

Hello
Does anyone know how to allow parents to print the reports card?
What we would like to do is to allow parents to print reports for their son.

Thank you

transfer studetns grade appear twice

We are on the quarter system. Midway through a quarter a student transfers to another period. same course, same teacher, just a different period.
when the report card prints it prints a grade from the previous period and a grade from the current period. is there a way to prevent this from occurring?

Quarter grade that shouldn't print

We have dealt extensively with this issue. Presumably you want ONLY the grade from the class transferred INTO to appear and count for GPA, etc. You don't say what type of report card you are using - one designed in PowerSchool via the reporting engine interface or an object report. The answer is slightly different depending.

The problem was created in the Permanently Store Grades process. At that time, you had the option to exclude storing grades for dropped classes. Our district only stores grades for classes in which the student is either currently enrolled or exited the last day of the marking period. Even if the student transferred out of the class 5 days before the end of the term we do NOT store the grade. Once you stored the grade and assuming that is not what you intended, the best recourse is to delete it. This can be done either on the Historical Grades screen or through the DDA in the StoredGrades table.

The built-in report card interface is tied to student schedules. So, if you are using this report, a line will still appear on the report card for the dropped class (with no grade) even after you have deleted the grade in the StoredGrades table. You could check the option not to include dropped classes but then grades will not show up for classes the student exited at the end the of marking period because they have an exit date.

If you are using an object report based only stored grades, the offending line on the report card will not appear at all after the deletion in the DDA

RE: Reports Card

There's no way for them to print reports like object reports or report card templates, however, you can make web pages that use the same DAT's as what one can use in an object report text object or report card template footer. Instead of a ^ (carot) you have to start each code with a ~ (tilde). Once a parent pulls up the page, the information for that student will be displayed.

Another consideration would be to give the student access to the portal.
