PSUG-NE Summer information Exchange 2009 has been announced and will be hosted by PSUG user Bob Cornacchioli's district just outside of Worchester, MA. All PowerSchool users are invited and encouraged to attend.

This 3 day conference is not intended as a replacement for PowerSchool University. However for those schools that can not afford to send people 1/2 way across the country there is a local alternative (local if you are in the North East United States). Classes will be taught by fellow PowerSchool users including some names you'll recognize from PSUG and PowerDataSolutions.org.

So you may be wondering how the cost stays so low. Organizers have worked very hard to reduce costs. The school district is donating space, the hotel has lowered its prices, corporate sponsors have given money, presenters have forgone payment.

In that case, why is there any charge? Presenters need to be driven or flown in and their rooms are paid for by the conference. Some meals are included much the same way they are for PSU (breakfast, lunch). Plus there are many other minor expenses that need to be paid for in order for the conference to break even. If the conference is in the red then word has it that Bob will not be allowed out to play with us anymore.

What: PSUG-NE Summer Information Exchange 2009
When: August 3rd - 5th
Where: Shrewsbury, MA
How much: $75/day or $150 for all 3 days
