PowerSchool 6.2
PowerSchool 6.2 is now available. For people who have customized their guardian pages there is a big change in how pages are coded, the 6.2 pages now use CSS for the layout. This is a completely different way of coding web pages then that used in the past. We at PDS have posted a new version of the Enhanced Parent Portal that is designed for 6.2 (EPP 2.0). If you are using the Enhanced Parent Portal you should grab the newest version if you are upgrading to 6.2.
If you are using your own custom pages, we recommend that you migrate your pages using a test server. There are significant coding changes that you need to adjust for your guardian/student pages.

Webpage Overlap
I'm having a problem with page overlap. When I select a student from the student selection page the start page overlaps with the more2.html page. We have "4" PS servers. This is only happening on "1" server. When you select a student while logged into one of the other servers the overlap does not happen. The page opens fine. I did add a few links to the more2 page but that's all. I replaced the more2 page with the original PS page that has no customization and still got the overlap. Now if I disable Customization on this one server I don't get the overlap when I select a student. The page opens fine.
I'm puzzled as to why it's happening on just one server and not all servers. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Issue with images
I just upgraded to 6.2 and epp 2.04. However, none of my images are showing and the login screen looks a little funky. I am new to PowerDataSolutions and would really like to get this to work. My district has one server and also has the image sever on the same box. The site is pwrschool.dillon1.k12.sc.us
Any info you could give would be helpful

re: Issue with images
Perry,
Did you copy over all the images from the new version (6.2) to the image server again? When there are new images they need to be put on the image server so a good practice is to move images and scripts over to the image server every time you upgrade PowerSchool. However the page change document normally will tell you if there were any images updated.
If that doesn't help does it work when you turn off customizations? If the login page looks correct with customizations off then we know its the customization and can proceed from there.
If neither of those help try turning off the image server in PowerSchool just to see if it corrects it.
Try those and see what happens and we can move from there. Since admin and teachers login pages look normal I'm going to guess it's the custom public/home.html page but lets work through them just in case.

One issue fixed
That fixed my login screen...turned off customizations/resync/turned back on.
Thanks for the help!
update
has anyone had a problem starting the gradebook or the administrator login after this update? I thought I read somewhere that something about apache tomcat had changed but I can't find it now
thanks for any help
It sounds like the problem
It sounds like the problem where Tomcat is not being upgraded that affects 6.1 and 6.2.x upgrades. There is information here:

How about Teacher pages
Someone said teach pages also
Thanks
Re: How about Teacher pages
Teacher pages, now use a wildcard for the buttons. This isn't a big deal as existing pages will continue to work fine. If you changed any Parent pages those need to be updated to work correctly.
