Cannot get it to work with version 6.0
I put 1.6 in place on our test server and at first I would see the screen but none of the graduation requirements would appear. When I resyned the custom web root, I then just got a screen full of coding between two brackets which appeared to be th historical grades of the student. What am i missing or doing wrong?
Won't work with 6.1
We get the screen to come up don't see any data in any of the columns except the graduation requirements column.
Any insights?
Thanks
No Imported Courses showing on this screen
Good Afternoon, We are trying this screen out on our Test Server, many of the enhancements are exactly what HS Counselors have been asking for. So, thanks very much for that. However, we have only been using PS for 1 year and none of the Stored Grades imported from SASI show on this screen. All of these imported grades have Credit Type (our Grad Req. Sets use Credit Type) and all showed using the original screen.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and take care,
Jay
Re: No Imported Courses showing on this screen
Did you also include Store Codes and Term Id's.
Re;No imported courses showing on this screen
Good Morning, Thanks for the reply. Yes they all have a store code and a termid, they show fine on the old screen and the Historical grades screen. What the imported grades do not have is a sectionid, could this be the reason they do not show?
Thanks and take care,
Jay
Re;No imported courses showing on this screen
If it was current yes, but the stored query doesn't look at sections. As long as the course numbers match you should be fine.
Re. No Imported courses showing on this screen
Good Afternoon, Well. Seems like it is the SchoolID in the Stored Grades table that is missing from the imported records. We do have the school name though, so it seems fairly clear cut to put in the SchoolID. When I do, the grades show on the new screen. What do you think?
Thanks and take care,
Jay
Re. No Imported courses showing on this screen
That would do it.
Graduation progress for assessments
I added the regents needed for each type of NYS diploma...because they have no credit they show as completed. Can something be worked out such as a check off, or 0.00 - 0.00 = __________, it's a nice page to use with students but would be nice if the student would know the exams they still need to take. Or even let the grade go in where completed is, for Code Type is exam
Regents
English Language Arts Regents 0.00 Completed
Global History and Geography Regents 0.00 Completed
US History & Gov't Regents 0.00 Completed
Life Science Regents 0.00 Completed
Physical Science Regents 0.00 Completed
Math Regents 1 0.00 Completed
Math Regents 2 0.00 Completed
Math Regents 3 0.00 Completed
Foreign Language Regents 0.00 Completed
Historical grades not included
I've tried both versions and no matter what I do, I cannot seem to get previous grades that are stored historically to work. They do have credit types and work correctly with the standard version of graduation progress.
Any ideas? Great customization and thanks for sharing your work. Hoping I can get it working for me.

Page header and bread crumbs not appearing
I have the page installed properly and it is working with the exception of the page header not showing - student name, number, photo, bread crumbs, etc. Any ideas?

Does not work if there are several credit types
I was really excited to see this, but was terribly disappointed that it cannot correctly handle courses that have several credit types.
For example, Geometry is coded for credit types A (algebra 1 requirement), C (other math requirement), U (elective requirement). If a kid takes geometry but has not taken algebra 1 in high school (i.e. he took it in middle school), geometry satisfies the algebra 1 requirement. If he has taken algebra 1 in high school, then geometry will satisfy the Other Math requirement. If the kid has already satisfied both the algebra 1 and the other math requirements, geometry will count as an elective.
Also, if a kid takes a course that satisfies two requirements and earns enough credit in that course to satisfy both requirements, that does not happen. Example: 9th grade humanities has credit types O9 (9th grade English - 1 credit required), E (New Mexico history/geography - .5 credit required), and U (elective). The course awards 2 credits. The kid should have satisfied 9th grade English, New Mexico History, and also get .5 elective credit. In fact, none of these was satisfied on your screen.
This did not work at all. Bummer!
Also, it would be nice to see the total credits completed, the total credits required, and the total credits still needed.

Middle School Credits
We have several courses middle school gifted students take, and later get the option of getting high school credit for these courses. In 6.0, we adjust the course grades when the student enters high school and after parents tell us if they wish the credits included for their child.
The school name and school id are not changed currently in production, but 6.0 finds the credit in the graduation progress page and properly places it.
Your graduation page does not find these grades for us. We tested this and changed the school name and id and then the credit was included on your progress page. We would prefer not to have to change the names and ids for all the grades in course history. Suggestions to clear this up for us would be appreciated.
We have a similar issue. We
We have a similar issue. We have students who switch between our High School and our Alternative High School. When I look at the new graduation page for kids at the Alternative School, I don't see any of the credits they earned at the high school and vice versa. The counselors really like this new page -- but are frustrated because they are never sure if they are missing credits. Am I missing a setup option or is this something not included in this graduation progress page?

Not working on version 6.0
The server was updated to version 6.0 in July and we just added the 1.6 version of this grad progress customization to the server. We are able to see the screen, but none of the grad sets/requirements are displaying. We have everything setup and it was working in the "canned" grad screen. We are getting an error [non-select tlist_sql filtered out] when we switch to a new student while on the grad progress screen, however, the screen will come up when we click on the actual grad progress link for the new student.
We are more concerned about the data not displaying. Any thoughts?
Re: Not working on version 6.0
Please see PowerSource Doc ID 55553 or http://www.powerdatasolutions.org/content/fix-tlistsql-error-5209 which is really 5.2.0.9 + compatible.

Thanks Brian. I was finally
Thanks Brian. I was finally able to get that page uploaded to the server. I posted a comment on what I had to do to get it to work. It was not a simple extraction of the files...
Once I got through that and flipped the switch, the grad progress page is working beautifully!
Thanks for all you guys do here, it is a great resource!
PowerSchool 6.0
Does this work with PowerSchool 6.0?

PS 6
It should work just fine with PS 6. This page doesn't use the new logo so it should work out of the box... I mean out of the zip.
This customization does not
This customization does not seem to work with 6.0 for us. When I turn customizations off, the built-in one works properly.
What the custom doesn't do is pull the 8th grade Carnegie unit credit classes into the Graduation Progress screen. This customization worked fine with 5.1.3.
I don't have a clue what to even look for to troubleshoot this. It is an incredibly useful screen that we use all the time.
Any ideas?
Patti
Re: This customization does not
When you upgraded to 6.0 did you install the appropriate scripts that this page uses if any?

Does not work if there is no credit type in stored grades.
I just tried 1.6 version and it does not work for us. Here is why:
Our Graduation requirement is set to use Credit Type.
It is our first year using PowerSchool and most historical grades were imported from WinSchool and don't have a credit type.
Original Graduation progress must be using Course credit type setting because it works just fine. Your Graduation Progress shows all the classes taken prior to this year in Exceeds Requirements.
