V 2.1 (09/20/2008)
- Added Grade_Level to the report.

V 2.2 (02/27/2009)

- Updated main page to use common includes (see separate include package if you don’t already have it)

- As of V 3.0 is now included in report bundle.

Can't get the pages to work together

Submitted by paula on Tue, 01/19/2010 - 1:36pm

I have installed - and I cannot get the pages to work together
When I bring up the EntryExitReport -- I do nto get a submit or create button.
When I bring up the EntryExitReport I cannot get any choices to make either.

Anyone have any advice?

You need to use the includes download. Which you can find here http://powerdatasolutions.org/content/common-includes-v-10

I am having exactly the same behavior. January search yields November and January results, February search yields December results.

Yep, I'm being told by another PDS person that I have not uploaded my fix. Sorry. The fix is really old too so it's a bit embarrassing. It'll be up as soon as I get a chance.

Create Button

Submitted by sbynum on Sun, 11/08/2009 - 8:07pm

The report states that you can click on the create button after you change your options. I do not show a create button on the page. Can you help me with this?

re: Create Button

Submitted by jtreadwell on Mon, 11/09/2009 - 6:58am

The "Create" button is now the "Submit" button.

I, too, do not have either a Submit or Create button. Has anyone figured this out?

Re: Submit/Create

You need to download and install http://powerdatasolutions.org/content/common-includes-v-10 All future reports not included in the bundle will use these common sets of files.

perfect!

My report also doesn't display a submit button so i'm missing the same thing you are. I hope i get it soon because it's a really nice report.

It does work in 6.0. If you are seeing a Tlist_sql filtered out message see PowerSource Doc ID 55553 or search for tlist_sql fix here on PDS.

Student Name on Entry/Exit

Hi Jason,
Thanks for a great report. Just one question, what does the "*" signify next to a student's name?

The "*" indicates that the student has left and returned during the current school year.

Header so nice, you had to render it twice?

Submitted by duffjay on Tue, 04/28/2009 - 2:29pm

Just downloaded this - pretty awesome! Found an aesthetic bug:

The following code (I had to disable the tags) is in both the EntryExitReport.html as well as the EntryExitReportHeader:

!-- start of title --
table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4">
tr>
td class="header printHeader">~(decode;~[gpv:status];50;Enrolled OR Exited;99;Exited;Enrolled) At ~[schoolname] In ~(decode;~(v.m);0;July-June;1;January;2;February;3;March;4;April;5;May;6;June;7;July;8;August;9;September;10;October;11;November;12;December; ) of the ~(f.add;1990;~(curyearid))-~(f.add;1991;~(curyearid)) School Year/td>
/tr>
/table>
br>br>
!-- end of title -->

Net effect is that the header shows up twice.

I removed it from the main page, leaving it the Header page (good modular design), and everything looks perfect.

Just an FYI.

Ah yes, I was running into the dreaded 32K issue and started modularizing the page. What you have is a mix of the modular and non-modular versions. What's more is I have a bundle of reports planned that modularizes 3 pieces that work in every report making updating the main portion of each that much easier. It also makes updating certain pieces a lot nicer. This should be fixed in the next release.

Feb/Dec

Submitted by tpteterson on Wed, 03/04/2009 - 5:18pm

I have also downloaded the new version and am still having the same issue with December exits and enrollments pulling into the report for February. I also see a double header on the report page. I love this report, we print it at the end of every month to use for budgeting purposes pertaining to enrollment trends. The superintendent shares those numbers with the board. Thanks for all you do.

Ours is doing the same thing.

Submitted by ascroggins on Wed, 02/18/2009 - 1:08pm

When selecting the month of January it pulls both January and November. The same goes for February and December. I traced the problem down to the sql statement. It converts the month to a char and then uses a LIKE statement which, for January, pulls all months with a 1 in it, and February, pulls all months with a 2 in it. I tried a few tweaks but I can't really follow the SQL enough to fix it. Please let me know when there is a fix.

Segment?

Submitted by bcassid on Tue, 12/02/2008 - 11:09pm

This is a great report that we are finding very useful, but I was wondering what the "Segment" is.

Re: Segment?

Submitted by brian_andle on Wed, 12/03/2008 - 7:23am

You can setup reporting segments when you are in the District Office. Our Connecticut reports are done 3 times a year and I set the reporting segments to match the submission ranges. By doing that I can see the students I need to worry above before I do my state reports.

Report not working after 5.2.0.9 upgrade

Submitted by JamieMorse on Fri, 11/14/2008 - 6:41pm

It works now. The Enable Tlist did not take the first time.

To test to see if it did take go to the Prefs table and search Name Contains "sql"
if it does not return something Tlist is NOT enabled. You need to try and enable it again from the server.

The report no longer works for us either after upgrading to 5.2.0.9. I have TLIST SQL security disabled.

Exclude Entry-Exit Codes

Submitted by mdewar on Tue, 09/23/2008 - 12:27pm

Hi Jason,

Thanks for all your work on this.
Great looking report!
Any chance of either hand selecting codes or being able to exclude certain ones?
In our case when the report is run, it's inflated by those students who were normally promoted, Code PE.

EntryExit Report

Submitted by Ellen Li on Fri, 09/19/2008 - 10:08am

Hi Jason,
A request from my attendance director.
She asks, can the Grade Level field be included in the grid.
She wants to replace Homeroom, but I think homeroom is also important, especially at the elementary level.

So...is it possible to include a new field - grade_level?

Thank you...your work is truly appreciated!
