Course Recommendations

Description:
This report lists all recommendations given for the upcoming school year. The report should only be run at the school-level and not from the district-level. The report does not run until the submit button is clicked.

Base Filter Applied:
The report is run for active students only. Current 12th graders are excluded from the report.

Custom Filter Options:
The report also has four custom filters that can be applied to the report which are: Teacher, Department, Current Course, Recommended Course, Student Selection (All Students / Current Selected Students).

Sort Options:
Default Sort is applied to the first column which is the Student Field.

Installation Directions:
Place the file within the custom\web_root\admin\reports\schedule folder. You will also need the TableSorter files. This also uses the page layout that comes with PowerDataSolutions’s Report Bundle. These files need to be placed into the following location custom\www_root\admin\ includes folder. Once you add these files to your server you must then modify your custom reports menu to show this report within PowerSchool.

- Added the student’s counselor to the report.
o Note: This is a custom field and if the report does not work when this update is applied check the spelling of your counselor field and check the spelling of counselor in the report, if different update the spelling of counselor in the report.
- Added the ability to run for all students or the Current Selected Students. This is done by choosing the option in the Parameter/Filter area.
- Fixed the link, which now launches the correct page (Course Recommendations List). The page will open in a new browser window or new tab within the current browser window. This allows the report to remain open while reviewing the student’s recommendations. This link is on the student’s name. If you click the student’s name the you will see the student’s course recommendations list.
