Classattendance Meeting Comments V 1.01

The pages included in this package improve upon the class attendance page modified by Jason Treadwell, Tim Scoff and Roger Sprik to allow Teachers to enter meeting attendance comments for Students.

When Teachers go to take attendance they will notice 2 submit buttons. Submit and Submit w/ Comments. Here is how it works;

Click the Chair on the main PowerTeacher page.
Select the appropriate attendance code(s) and set for the student(s).
Note - You can only enter comments for student who have an attendance code.
Click Submit if you do not want to enter a comment.
Click Submit w/ Comments and you will have the ability to enter comments for which ever student you want. Click Submit.

Here is an example;
Jonny is tardy to class. You mark Jonny Tardy and want to put a comment saying he’s 10 min’s late.
You can use the Submit w/ Comments button to bring you to a page to enter a comment.

View Admin Comments

Is it possible that in PT to view existing comments that Secretaries may have entered, so that it may be modified by Teacher if they see it. Example, Jane Smith has a Message in the office, the Teacher sees that and changes it to "Sent Jane to the office"

I believe I need to update the image for version 6, but everything else should work fine.

Does this work for the Admin side to see comments? Or is there a customization that will allow our registrars to enter in comments?

If you use One Stop Attendance there is a add-on for One Stop (under the One Stop Download) to let you enter comments.

Do you happen to know if when our Registrar adds a comment if it will be viewable to teachers too?

selecting previous date

When needing to go back to a previous date from the drop down, the page does not change with that date's information. Any clue?

Currently, the page only modifies the comments for the current date. I will look into adding this option.

Where do you see the comment? I see it back at the comment screen where the teacher enters it.
I can't find it anywhere else.

I need to create a new report for the admin side. It does show if you have One Stop Attendance installed.The two really compliment each other.

What Brian meant to say was it WILL show in One Stop Attendance once Jason gets off his duff and updates it :D

The One Stop Attendance shows meeting comments without any modification. What does need to be added is the code to allow administrators to add meeting attendance comments.

This is a great addition for the teachers, especially the attendance totals on the right hand side of the screen! I also like how the teacher comments show up on the One Stop Attendance Screen. Again, very nice!

A quick question:

1. When you submit the attendance and go back to the screen, a time indicator is listed. However, mine is saying: 00:00:00

I fixed the time code from showing. I didn't change the download file name because only 3 people have downloaded it so far. If you download the file again, the fix is included.
