Course Title Search Error

This is a suggestion, I have a secertary entering course request information on the ChoiceDialog2 page. After entering a course number in the Course Title Search box she would like to hit enter and have it add the course to the request box rather than have to grab the mouse and click on the course. When she tried this she gets the following error on the Schedulerequest page.

Search table name not specified or key word 'TableName' mispelled.

Is there an easy fix for this.

She is still greatful that this page is much easier than the original to work with.

Course Title Search Error

I am getting the same error. Search table name not specified or key word 'TableName' mispelled.

I know this worked perfectly last year. Has something gone awry with an upgrade?

re: Course Title Search Error

What browser and version of that browser are you trying it on when that happens? We just tried it with FF 3.6.3 with no problems.

Too bad...

Had to remove this feature-- a fixed-size course request screen showed up every time counselors clicked ANY "Associate" button in PowerScheduler--like terms, department, anything. But, since others had no problem, I must have installed it incorrectly....

RE: Too bad...

Just so I understand...You added the customization and now all the "Associate" buttons no longer work.

Great!

This is great and will save the counselors a lot of time. Thank you.

And from the "those users are NEVER satisfied department"... Would it be possible to apply this enhancement to the online course requests on the Parent Portal? As you know, the students type in the course numbers of their course requests. Which leads to errors, selecting the course would be so much cooler!)

Nicely Done

I like it, now to see if the counselors will like it.

One odd thing. I'm using firefox 2.0.0.20 and I had some display issues where the course list would resize a couple times then slightly overlap the requested courses box.

I found that increasing the width for the #autoComplete1 style resolved the issue. It appears that the list was resizing to fit a class that had name that was longer than that which the window would normally allow.

Thanks for the good work.

Story time

When I was beta testing this interface with a few counselors. One of the response floored me...when I asked what they thought this was the response (parapharsed)

"This is great but I don't type so I wouldn't use it"

I hope your counselors are more responsive to that.

Good luck.

SWEEEET!!

Fabulous! This is exactly what our counselors have been requesting. Our counselors wanted to see it sort by course name instead of course number. Modifying the ORDER BY on courselist.xml took care of that.

So Cool!

Once again you guys are AWESOME!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

SWEEEEET!

Exxxxcellent!

Seriously though, I've installed it and I don't get anything in the area where I should see my course list, not even an empty box. Firebug gives me an error complaining about YAHOO not being defined in the line 143

var Dom = YAHOO.util.Dom,

I have a feeling that it's the way you are calling the scripts.
/scripts/yui2.6/build/element/element-beta.js
The yui information comes with PowerSchool in a folders called yui, not yui2.6.

However, to make it universal all you need to do is change it by replacing all /scripts/yui2.6 with http://yui.yahooapis.com/2.6.0

I did that and all was happy!

Also, the readme file seems to be a .txt file. I added that and it seemed to open. The way it was included in the zip didn't have any extension.

Sorry Guys

Sorry about "new" yui files. I reloaded the zip file with the YUI that comes with PowerSchool.

re: Sorry Guys

Now it works brilliantly! Thank you very much.
