Absentee report automatically ran via Reporting Engine

I am hoping someone has already done this and can point me in the right direction. I downloaded a Reporting Engine report from the PSUG files, uploaded and tweaked it. It is working great for updating the files that I need but now I want to be able to run the Absentee Report (Single day period by period attendance code report.) within the aforementioned Reporting Engine report.

A better explanation, I hope.....the reporting engine report is exporting a file and then using FTP to send it to another client machine that I have set up a scheduled task on so that nightly my SchoolReach files get updated.

We have the attendance portion of SchoolReach and so right now I am manually running the Absentee report for my High School searching for only one attendance code of A for the current date. I would like to automate this portion and include it in my current reporting engine report so that I don't have to do manually run the report on a daily basis and send it to the folder on my client machine.

I am not a "tech" minded person but I sit in a room with two very knowledgeable gentlemen (my boss, the Tech Director and our PC/Networking Administrator) with whom would understand any thing that is over my head that you may suggest. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tracy

RE: Absentee report automatically ran via Reporting Engine

Instead of trying to make the builtin report do an export, try creating a reporting report export with sql to do it. Tim Scoff made one that you may be able to modify. It can be found here - http://www.sisresources.com/index.php?/System-Admin/export-files.html - and is called the High School Attendance Export.
