PIMS Reporting - School Calendar and Student Calendar Templates

I just got off the phone with the PIMS helpdesk and PowerSchool support and these are the instructions on how to set up PowerSchool so that the School Calendar and Student Calendar template reports will be accurate and give the state the data that they want and are expecting. I have not yet tested these instructions, they may not be perfect but they will be close.

CT Transfer Student Out Of School

Connecticut has the unique scenario of setting certain state fields when transferring a student out of school. When a student is transferred out of school the CT_Exit_Status field should be set to 01 or 02. Currently we only see 01 and the field doesn’t get set properly anyway. Also it would be nice if the CT_SASID_Reg field was set to U and that if the Student is Special Ed that the CT_Nexus_Exit_Date was also set.

Location Code Drop Down v 2.0

This package contains a solution for NYS users to allow them to enter the location codes from the district office and have the location code entry area appear as a drop down instead of a free text box.

CT PSIS Pre-Check

The pages included in this custom package are a attempt to reduce the time it takes to check for errors before submitting your PSIS report to the state. The reports are split up into 3 parts and will show potential errors in your state data. Areas in red indicate a issue, yellow is a just for your information. Oracle Version: Premier report that allows for a user to search for the number of students who have 1-4, 5-9, and 10+ instances of a single attendance code OR all attendance codes, all present codes, and all absent codes. Built for NYS but perhaps good for other states as well.

Sybase Version: NYS BEDS reports. attCount_BedsYear.html displays a count of students from a particular school who had 1-4, 5-9, and 10+ absent records with a selected code. attCount_StudentYear.html lists students and how many records with a certain attendance code each has. Will not run from District Office.
